Horse Trail #8 comes within a few hundred feet of the property, which provides direct access to approximately 200 miles of horseback and hiking trails maintained by the US Forest Service. The south property line has frontage to the 1.5 million acre Ouachita National Forest. The cabin sits on 8 acres of level to gently sloping land. There is a locked entrance gate and 2-3/8' pipe rail fencing along the North property line. Initial flow testing of the well showed the water rate to be 28 gallons per minute! The property is accessed by a county-maintained gravel US Forest Service Road (Post Mountain Road). The water well equipment is housed in an insulated metal weatherproof building with a concrete slab foundation.
